Notifications are what turn Vizito from a digital logbook into a true visitor management system. As soon as a visitor finishes checking in at the kiosk, Vizito can alert the right person in your organisation through the channel they prefer, so guests never have to wait at the reception while someone hunts down their host.
You can send notifications by email, by SMS, through Microsoft Teams, through Slack, or to any custom endpoint via webhook. Most customers combine two channels, for example email to the host and a Teams ping to a shared reception channel, so that a backup colleague can step in if the host is in a meeting. Pre-registered visitors can additionally receive an invitation email with a QR code that lets them skip part of the check-in form when they arrive.
This section also covers two more sensitive types of notification: visitor screening, where a name is checked against a deny list before sign-in is allowed, and emergency notifications used during an evacuation. The emergency feature pushes the full list of visitors currently on site to the designated safety officers so nobody is left behind. Pick the article below that matches the channel or scenario you want to configure.
