Supported hardware

You can use any Apple iPad that was built after 2020. Most of our customers opt for the regular 11 inch iPad (the iPad with the A16 chip, 2025).

For Android, we recommend devices built after 2020 for optimal compatibility. Most of our customers opt for Samsung tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (SM-T510).

Can Vizito run on a phone?

No. The kiosk app is made for a tablet on a desk, not for a smartphone.

  • iPhone: the Vizito app is an iPad app. It is listed under iPad in the App Store and does not install on an iPhone, so there is nothing to link an account to there.
  • Android phone: Google Play lets the app install on a phone, but the screen is laid out for a tablet, and we do not support it as a kiosk. A phone is also a poor kiosk: it locks, goes to sleep, takes calls and walks off.

What a phone is for in Vizito:

  • Visitors sign in on their own phone. With contactless sign in the tablet shows a QR code and the visitor fills in the form on their phone; a static QR code on a poster or at the desk does the same without a tablet at all. Visitors who were invited pre-register from their phone through the link in the invitation: see Pre-registration.
  • Staff use the backoffice. backoffice.vizito.be opens in the phone’s browser, so a host can check who is in, sign a visitor out or invite somebody from their phone. There is no separate app for it.

If you have no tablet yet, a spare PC with a browser is the better stopgap: see below.

No tablet? No worries!

If you do not have a tablet at hand, we got you covered as well. Vizito is built on browser technology and can run in modern Google Chrome or FireFox browsers on your own computer.

Use a touchscreen PC

You can also use a PC (with touchscreen) to run the registration app.
