Both are lightweight and easy to run. They draw the line between plans in very different places.
Vizito is a European visitor management system, ISO 27001 certified and hosted in the EU, priced per location from EUR 29.95 per month with the full visitor feature set at every tier: pre-registration, contactless sign-in, badge printing, text, PDF and video agreements with signature, host approval, evacuation overview, retention rules and 31 languages in the sign-in flow. Higher plans add visit volume, phone support and identity integrations rather than features at the desk.
Greetly is a US digital receptionist app aimed at offices and coworking spaces. Essential, at $99 a month billed yearly, includes unlimited check-ins, unlimited hosts, employee check-in, watchlist alerts, visitor photos and e-signatures. Pro, at $159 a month, adds badge printing, two-way texting, government ID and US driving licence scanning, Zapier, a digital mailroom, multi-kiosk support and voice-call notifications. Pricing is flat and published, and the product is deliberately simple.
Which one is right for you?
The honest split here is geography and what you need on the cheapest plan.
Vizito is probably the better fit if...
- You are in Europe and want EU hosting by default with an ISO 27001 certificate for the security review.
- You need badge printing, and you would rather not pay for the top tier to get it.
- You want more than one kiosk at a site without moving up a plan.
- Your visitors speak many languages: the whole sign-in flow runs in 31.
- You want agreements that can be a PDF or an induction video with a captured signature, not just an e-signature box.
Greetly is probably the better fit if...
- Your reception is busy and you want unlimited check-ins on the entry plan. Vizito Standard covers 100 visits a month.
- You want watchlist alerts. Greetly includes them on Essential; Vizito has no watchlist at all.
- You need government ID or US driving licence scanning at the desk.
- You want employee check-in and a digital mailroom in the same product.
- You live in Zapier and want the visitor log wired into hundreds of other tools without writing anything.
- Your team is in the United States and wants a US-based supplier in a US timezone.
If you are a US coworking operator, Greetly is a natural fit and we are not. If you are a European office that needs a badge on every visitor, the reverse is true.
Where Vizito is the stronger choice
Badge printing on the entry plan
Greetly puts visitor badge printing on the Pro tier at $159 a month. Vizito includes it on the EUR 29.95 Standard plan, with Brother QL network label printers, plastic card options and a badge layout you design yourself. For most receptions, the badge is the whole point.
European hosting and ISO 27001
All Vizito data is stored in the EU under an independently audited ISO 27001 information security management system, with a signed DPA, consent capture, configurable retention and automatic anonymisation. For a European buyer that removes the most common procurement blocker.
Unlimited kiosks and entrances per site
A reception tablet, a contractor QR code at the goods door and a second entrance in another wing all run on one site subscription. Greetly reserves multi-kiosk support for the Pro tier.

Where Greetly is stronger
Greetly gives you several things on its entry plan that we either charge more for or do not have.
Unlimited check-ins from the first plan
Greetly does not meter visits. Vizito Standard covers 100 a month and Pro 300, with unlimited only on Enterprise. For a busy lobby or a coworking space, that comparison starts at our Enterprise plan, not our cheapest one.
Watchlist alerts as standard
Greetly includes watchlist alerts on its Essential plan. Vizito has no watchlist feature at any price. If you need to be warned when a specific person signs in, we cannot do it.
ID scanning and a digital mailroom
Government-issued ID verification, US driving licence scanning and parcel logging come with Greetly Pro. Vizito reads Belgian eID cards on iPad and has no mailroom at all.
Zapier and employee check-in
Zapier opens hundreds of integrations without code, and employee check-in covers staff as well as visitors. Vizito has a REST API and webhooks on Enterprise, but no Zapier app and no employee attendance.
Where we would still argue for ourselves: badge printing and multiple kiosks on the entry plan, ISO 27001, EU hosting, 31 languages and a lower starting price.

One difference that is hard to put in a table: who answers when you ask for a change. Vizito is built by a small European team that answers its own support chat, so a request about your reception reaches the person who owns that screen instead of a queue.

A European supplier for a European front desk
Visitor registration data is personal data, often including a photo, a signature and sometimes health or safety declarations. Vizito stores all of it in the European Union, under an ISO 27001 certified management system, with a signed Data Processing Agreement, a published sub-processor list, consent capture at the kiosk, configurable retention and automatic anonymisation. For organisations with a works council, a DPO or a NIS2 obligation, that is usually the first question asked and the fastest one to answer.

The single most common reason a reception buys a visitor management system is to put a visible badge on everyone in the building. Multiple kiosks and entrances are included too, so the goods entrance can have its own QR flow without moving up a tier.

Neither model is more honest than the other. Which one is cheaper for you depends entirely on two numbers: how many visitors you see in a month, and whether you print badges.
The arithmetic worth doing
Take last month’s visitor count from your logbook. If it is under a hundred and you print badges, Vizito Standard at EUR 29.95 is the cheapest real option on either page. If it is four hundred and you do not print badges, Greetly Essential is likely cheaper than Vizito Enterprise. If it is four hundred and you do print badges, compare Vizito Enterprise at EUR 99 against Greetly Pro at $159 and check the exchange rate.
The parts that are not about price
Data location, ISO 27001 and a signed DPA decide more European procurement processes than any feature. Watchlists, ID scanning and Zapier decide more American ones. Start from that, and the price comparison usually becomes academic.

When should I choose Greetly over Vizito?
Choose Greetly if you need unlimited check-ins on a low tier, watchlist alerts, government ID or driving licence scanning, employee check-in, a digital mailroom, Zapier, or voice-call notifications to hosts. Also choose it if being served by a US supplier in a US timezone matters to you. Those are real advantages and several of them are things Vizito does not do at any price.

Does Vizito have watchlist screening?
No. Vizito can hold a visitor as pending until a host approves or rejects them, which covers the “should this person be let in” question when a human is making the decision. It cannot match a name against a list automatically. Greetly includes watchlist alerts from its Essential plan, and if that is a requirement you should choose accordingly.

Can Vizito scan ID documents?
Only Belgian eID cards, read from the chip over a Bluetooth reader on iPad, which fills in name, address and photo automatically. There is no passport, driving licence or general document scanner. Greetly Pro includes government ID verification and US driving licence scanning.

Does Vizito support employee check-in?
Not as a feature. Vizito registers visitors, contractors and drivers; some customers do use it to register employees who forgot their badge, but there is no staff attendance module, no time tracking and no employee app. Greetly includes employee check-in on both plans.
