What each product actually is
This is one of the few comparisons where the two products barely overlap in intent.
Vizito
Vizito is a visitor management system you buy online and run yourself. It is ISO 27001 certified, hosted in the EU, works on any iPad, Android tablet, Windows kiosk or browser you already have, and every plan includes pre-registration, contactless sign-in, badge printing, agreements and the emergency overview. It is designed so that a facility manager, not an integrator, can set it up and change it.
FacilityOS
FacilityOS is a facility operations platform built for regulated and high-security sites, mostly in North America. VisitorOS is one module; EmergencyOS, ContractorOS, LogisticsOS and SecurityOS sit next to it. It carries ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, offers single sign-on with MFA on every tier, ships a managed and MDM-enrolled iPad with the Corporate plan, and can issue physical access cards and integrate with access control. It is bought through sales and deployed as a project.
Which one is right for you?
If your site has a compliance auditor walking around it, read the right-hand column carefully.
Vizito is probably the better fit if...
- You want visitor management for offices, schools, clinics or light industry rather than a locked-down regulated plant.
- You already own tablets, or you would rather choose and manage your own hardware than take a bundled device.
- You want pre-registration and contactless sign-in on the entry plan, not two tiers up.
- Your data has to stay in the EU and ISO 27001 is what the security questionnaire asks for.
- A price of EUR 29.95 to EUR 99 per site per month makes a multi-site rollout affordable where several hundred per site would not.
FacilityOS is probably the better fit if...
- You run a regulated or high-security site and need an immutable audit trail, watchlist screening and formal document control.
- You need contractor management with credential and training expiry tracking before somebody is allowed on site.
- You want visitors issued physical access cards, or the kiosk wired into access control and turnstiles.
- You would rather the vendor shipped a pre-configured, MDM-managed tablet than have your own IT build one.
- Your policy requires SOC 2 Type II as well as ISO 27001, or hosting outside the EU.
A useful test: if the person specifying this system reports to Health and Safety or Security rather than Facilities or IT, FacilityOS is likely the right shape of product and we are likely not.
Where Vizito is the stronger choice
No hardware lock-in
Vizito runs on any iPad, Android tablet, Windows kiosk or plain browser, and pairs with the Brother QL network label printers most offices already have. FacilityOS Corporate includes a managed iPad, which is convenient but ties the deployment to their device. If you have tablets in a cupboard, Vizito can use them this afternoon.
Everything at the front desk on every plan
Pre-registration, contactless sign-in, badge printing, agreements with signature and the emergency overview are included on the EUR 29.95 Standard plan. On FacilityOS, touchless sign-in and pre-registration sit on the Enhanced tier at $299 per location per month.
European hosting and 31 languages
Visitor data stays in the EU by default under an ISO 27001 certified management system, and the whole sign-in flow - not just the admin screens - runs in 31 languages. For a European site that receives drivers and contractors from across the continent, that is the practical difference at the door.

Where FacilityOS is stronger
FacilityOS is aimed at sites where getting visitor control wrong is a regulatory event, not an inconvenience. That shows.
Regulated-site compliance
SOC 2 Type II alongside ISO 27001, an immutable audit log, single sign-on with MFA on every tier and formal document control. If your site is audited against ITAR, FDA or a similar regime, this is a different class of evidence than Vizito can produce.
Contractors as a first-class problem
ContractorOS tracks credentials, inductions and training expiry and blocks somebody at the door when their certificate has lapsed. Vizito can require a contractor to accept a safety agreement and can require host approval, but it does not hold a credential register.
Physical security integration
SecurityOS issues physical access cards from the kiosk and integrates with access control. Vizito prints a badge and can hand out a WiFi access token, but it does not open a turnstile.
Hardware handled for you
The Corporate plan ships a mounted, MDM-enrolled iPad. For a plant with no local IT, that is a real reduction in work, and it is a service we simply do not offer.
If two or more of those matter, do not let a price difference talk you out of the right product. A visitor system that cannot prove what it did during an audit costs more than it saved.

Vizito is built by a small European team that answers its own support chat, so a request about your reception reaches the person who owns that screen rather than a queue. Bring your own tablet, keep your own printer
Vizito is deliberately hardware-agnostic. The kiosk app runs on iPadOS and Android, there is a Windows kiosk option and a browser-based kiosk for a PC or a NUC behind the desk, and badge printing works with Brother QL network label printers alongside plastic card options. Nothing has to be bought from us, and nothing is locked to a device we control. For a multi-site rollout that means you can standardise on whatever your organisation already buys, and add an entrance later without a purchase order.

Honest limits
What Vizito will not do at a regulated site
Vizito can enforce a safety agreement, capture a signature, show an induction video, require a host to approve entry before the visitor moves past reception, keep a full visitor log with configurable retention and produce a live evacuation list. What it cannot do is screen a name against a watchlist, hold a contractor credential register with expiry dates, scan a passport or driving licence, or open a turnstile. If your site needs those, FacilityOS covers them and we would rather point you there than sell you a gap.

Choosing between a platform and a product
The honest framing for this comparison is not “which is better” but “which problem do you have”. FacilityOS is priced and built for sites where a visitor who should not be there is a reportable event: pharmaceutical plants, defence suppliers, food production, utilities. It sells modules for contractors, emergencies, logistics and physical security because those sites need all of them, and it ships a managed tablet because those sites often have no local IT.
Vizito is priced and built for the other ninety percent of front desks: offices, schools, clinics, warehouses, professional services and light industry, where the job is to know who is in the building, notify the right host, capture the right agreement and produce a correct evacuation list. That job is worth doing properly and it is not worth several hundred euros a site per month.
What to ask FacilityOS, and what to ask us
Ask FacilityOS for the total per-site monthly cost with every module you actually need, and what happens to the bundled iPad at the end of the term. Ask them which data region your visitor data will sit in.
Ask us for the ISO 27001 certificate, the DPA and the sub-processor list, and push us on the four things in the table above that we do not do. If any of them is a requirement, we will tell you to go elsewhere, and that is a faster answer than three weeks of trial.

Is iLobby still called iLobby?
The company now sells its platform as FacilityOS, with VisitorOS as the visitor management module and EmergencyOS, ContractorOS, LogisticsOS and SecurityOS alongside it. Older material and review sites still use the iLobby name, so you will see both while searching.

Do I have to buy hardware from Vizito?
No, and you cannot. Vizito sells software only. The kiosk app runs on iPadOS and Android, there is a Windows and browser-based kiosk option, and badge printing works with common Brother QL network label printers. Our hardware page lists the devices we test against, but any of them can be bought from your usual supplier.

Can Vizito handle a multi-site industrial rollout?
Yes, within those limits. Locations can be copied so every site inherits the same visit types, agreements, branding and badge layout, a global administrator sees all sites in one dashboard, and locations can be grouped into regions for reporting. Several manufacturing and logistics customers run Vizito across dozens of sites in Europe. What they are not doing with it is credential-gating contractors or driving access control.
