Alternatives to SwipedOn
Looking for an alternative to SwipedOn?
SwipedOn is now part of Sign In App: the website redirects, pricing has moved onto Sign In App plans and a combined platform is being built. That is a reasonable moment to check what else exists. This page ranks the alternatives and is clear about when staying is the better decision.

A product mid-merger, and a product that is not
This is less a feature fight than a question about the next two years.
Vizito is an independent Belgian visitor management system, ISO 27001 certified and hosted in the EU, sold per location from EUR 29.95 per month with the whole visitor feature set in every plan. Same company, same product name, same single focus since the start. If continuity through your next renewal cycle is worth something, that is what we sell alongside the software.
SwipedOn was a New Zealand product popular with small and mid-sized offices for its simplicity, covering visitors, employee in and out, deliveries and desk booking on higher plans. It is now part of Sign In App under Sign In Solutions, which also owns Sign In Enterprise and The Receptionist. Existing SwipedOn logins keep working, pricing has moved to Sign In App plans, and the merged platform is described as coming rather than live.
Should you actually replace SwipedOn?
Half the people who land on a page like this are better off staying where they are. Here is how to tell.
Stay with SwipedOn if...
- You use SwipedOn for employee in and out, deliveries or desk booking as well as visitors.
- Your reception is busy and unlimited sign-ins matter more than a lower licence.
- You need a data region outside the EU.
- Your current price is locked in and the migration to the combined platform has not been announced for you yet.
- Your team likes the product and nothing is actually broken.
Start looking if...
- You want to avoid a platform migration you did not choose.
- You only ever used the visitor side, and employee sign-in and deliveries were never switched on.
- You want EU-only hosting under an ISO 27001 certified management system.
- You want the whole visitor feature set on the cheapest plan.
- You would rather buy from an independent supplier than from a group.
If you are only here because of a price increase, ask your account manager for the renewal number before you run a migration. It is a cheaper first step.
Why SwipedOn customers look at Vizito
No migration in your future
The merged Sign In App and SwipedOn platform is not live yet, which means a change is coming for SwipedOn customers at some point. Vizito is not merging with anything. Your configuration, your price and your data region stay where they are.
Everything included, from EUR 29.95
Badge printing, agreements with signature, pre-registration, contactless sign-in, host approval, evacuation overview and satisfaction surveys are in every Vizito plan, at every site, with unlimited kiosks and QR codes. There is no module to add for the ordinary front desk job.
EU hosting and ISO 27001 by default
Every Vizito account is hosted in the European Union under an ISO 27001 certified information security management system, with a signed DPA, configurable retention and automatic anonymisation. There is no region setting for anyone to get wrong.

Where SwipedOn and Sign In App are stronger
SwipedOn earned its reviews. The merger does not change what the product is good at.
Unlimited sign-ins
Neither SwipedOn nor Sign In App meters visits. Vizito Standard includes 100 a month and Pro 300, with unlimited on Enterprise only. For a busy reception that changes which Vizito plan you should actually be comparing.
Employees, deliveries and desks in the same app
Employee in and out, delivery logging and desk booking are all part of the SwipedOn and Sign In App world. Vizito is visitors only. If your reception team uses SwipedOn for staff attendance or parcels today, replacing it with Vizito means finding another tool for those.
Regions and certifications
Six data regions including the UK, US, Canada and Australia, with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and Cyber Essentials. Vizito is ISO 27001 and EU-only.
A companion app for staff
Employees can sign in and out from their phone across sites. Vizito notifies hosts by email, SMS, Teams and Slack, but there is no staff app.
The merger is not a reason to leave on its own. It is a reason to read your renewal carefully and check that what you rely on today is in the plan you will be moved to.
How Vizito gets better: you ask, we ship
One thing that does not appear in any table: how a supplier behaves when you ask for something. Vizito is built by a small European team that answers its own support chat, so a request about your reception reaches the person who owns that screen. A large share of every release started as a customer message.
Your request reaches the people who build it
Support, product and development sit together. When you describe something that does not work at your front desk, it is logged against the actual feature rather than dropped into a suggestion box, and you get told whether it is a quick fix, a roadmap item or a no.
Small changes ship in weeks, not roadmap quarters
An extra field on a visit type, a wording change in an invitation mail, a badge layout that fits your label stock. Those small differences decide whether a system fits your reception or almost fits it, and they are exactly the changes we turn around quickly.
You can read exactly what changed
Every release is written up in plain language for the people who use Vizito daily: what changed on the tablet, what changed in the backoffice, and what it means for you. No ticket numbers, no marketing.
If we have feedback on improving the solution, they will use this feedback. For example, there was an issue relating to GDPR, and they fixed it on the fly, so now we are running a compliant GDPR solution. If we recommend improvements, they will not let you down and do something with the information.
Top pick
1. Vizito, if you want visitor management and not a platform
Vizito is an independent Belgian visitor management system with the same simplicity that made SwipedOn popular, at EUR 29.95 to EUR 99 per location per month, ISO 27001 certified and hosted in the EU. It is not merging with anything and has never changed its name. For a SwipedOn customer who only ever used the visitor side, it is the closest like-for-like replacement. For one who also used employees, deliveries or desks, it is a partial replacement at best.

What Vizito gives you, and what it does not
You get
Pre-registration, contactless sign-in, badge printing, text, PDF and video agreements with signature, host approval, an emergency overview, retention and anonymisation, 31 languages and multi-site management - on every plan, from EUR 29.95 per location per month.
You do not get
Desk or room booking, parcel logging, watchlist screening, passport or driving licence scanning, employee attendance, access control integration, a SOC 2 Type II report, or hosting outside the EU.
You can try it
Fourteen days with every feature switched on, no credit card, 25 SMS notifications included so you can test host alerts end to end.

The other SwipedOn alternatives worth a demo
None of these is the right answer for everyone, so each entry says what it is actually good at rather than repeating the same three adjectives. Where we publish a head-to-head comparison, it is linked.

A merger is a prompt, not a verdict
Consolidation in this market is normal and usually ends fine. Sign In Solutions has bought several good products and is combining them, and there is every chance the result is better than what SwipedOn was on its own. None of that is a reason to run a migration out of nervousness.
It is a reason to ask questions you would otherwise defer. Which platform will your account be on in twelve months, does your current price survive the move, does your data region change, and how much notice do you get? Those answers, in writing, are worth more than any comparison table, including ours.
If you do decide to move
The visitor side of SwipedOn maps almost one for one onto Vizito, so the migration is a configuration exercise. Where teams get caught out is the parts of SwipedOn that are not visitor management: employee in and out, delivery logging and desk booking have no equivalent in Vizito, and replacing them needs to be planned before the cutover, not discovered during it.
Frequently asked questions
-
What happened to SwipedOn?
SwipedOn is now part of Sign In App, both owned by Sign In Solutions, which also owns Sign In Enterprise and The Receptionist. The swipedon.com website redirects to signinapp.com, the pricing page now points at Sign In App plans, and a combined platform is described as in development rather than live. Existing SwipedOn accounts and logins continue to work.
-
Do I have to move to another product?
Not immediately. Existing accounts still work and there is no announced shutdown. What has changed is that your long-term platform is a decision somebody else is making, which is a fair reason to look at the market before your next renewal rather than after it.
-
What is the best alternative to SwipedOn?
If you liked SwipedOn for being simple and affordable, Vizito is the closest fit at EUR 29.95 to EUR 99 per location per month with the whole visitor feature set on every plan, ISO 27001 and EU hosting. If you used it for employees, deliveries and desks as well, staying inside the Sign In App world keeps all of that in one place, and Vizito would leave you needing a second tool.
-
Is Vizito cheaper than SwipedOn is now?
SwipedOn pricing now points at Sign In App plans, published at GBP 415, GBP 835 and GBP 1,255 per site per year with unlimited sign-ins. Vizito is EUR 29.95, EUR 59 and EUR 99 per site per month with 100, 300 and unlimited visits respectively. Which is cheaper depends on your visitor volume, so start with last month’s number from your logbook.
-
Will my iPads work with a different system?
With Vizito, yes. The kiosk app runs on iPadOS and Android, there is a Windows and browser-based kiosk option, and Brother QL network label printers work directly. There is no proprietary hardware, so the tablets and printer at your reception carry over.
